Similarly, he started his career as an athlete in high school. He was involved in sports like football, basketball, and track and field.
He even entered several competitions during that period. For his further studies, he went to the University of Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in Criminal Justice.

Herschel Walker was indeed an extraordinary player. He won numerous awards throughout his entire career as a footballer.
The first-ever award he won was the 1982 Heisman Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding college football player of a particular year. Similarly, the same year he was also awarded the Maxwell Award.

Professional career
He signed with the New Jersey Generals in the year 1983. Also, he performed phenomenally in the league, to the point where he dominated the entire league.
He set the records in professional football for a single season. Later in his career, he joined the Dallas Cowboys in the year 1986. At one of the highest points during his career, the Cowboys traded Him to the Minnesota Vikings.
However, 4 years later, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in the year 1992. he soon left Philadelphia after player for three seasons. He was signed by the New York Giants for a $4.8 million contract.
He brought an end to his career as a professional football player in the year 1997 after ending the season with the Dallas Cowboys.

Herschel Walker was married to his sweetheart Cindy DeAngelis Grossman. They married in the year 1983. They have a baby who was born after 16 years of their marriage.
