Early life

Yulin was born on November 5, 1937. He was in Los Angeles, California. He is 85 years old. Likewise, he was raised in a Jewish home. Vera Yulin is her father’s name and George Yulin is his mother’s name. Thus, his father was a businessman by profession and his mother was a housewife.

At a Local High School in Los Angeles, California he completed his early schooling. After that, in California, the United States he enrolled himself at a local private university from where he completed his graduation. Moreover, he has always wanted to be a popular actor in the American film and television industry since childhood.

Career

Harris Yulin started acting and directing while he was residing in Tel Aviv in the 1960s after spending a considerable amount of time traveling through Europe and Israel. In 1963 in James Saunders ‘Next Time, I’ll Sing’ he delivered his first New York performance. In John Golden Theatre’s ‘Watch on the Rhine’ in 1980 his first Broadway role was Teck de Brancovis.
He continues to be involved in theatrical projects even today despite having a thriving screen career. Moreover, he has performed in several Broadway productions, including ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’, ‘The Visit’, ‘The Price’, and ‘Hedda Gabler’. He traveled to Dublin In 2010, in Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of A Salesman’ at the Gate Theatre Ireland to portray the protagonist William Willy Loman.
Additionally, Harris Yulin made his film debut in Aram Avakian’s ‘End of the Road’ in 1970, on the 1958 novel of the same name by John Barth a comedy-drama film. In the same year he also appeared in the telefilm ‘Neither Are We Enemies’ and the independent drama movie ‘Maidstone’. Furthermore, in the 1971 western film, ‘Doc’he starred as Wyatt Earp opposite Stacy Keach’s Doc Holliday and Faye Dunaway’s Kate Elder. In 1978, in the second season of ABC’s western-drama series ‘How the West Was Won’ he was cast as Deek Peasley for six episodes.

Moreover, in 1983, in Brian De Palma’s crime drama Scarface’ he worked with Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. Again in the latter’s 1996 documentary, ‘Looking for Richard’ Yulin and Pacino collaborated.
Similarly, he portrayed Judge Stephen Wexler in producer/director Ivan Reitman’s fantasy-comedy Ghostbusters II’ in 1989. Additionally, in the 1994 action-drama ‘Clear and Present Danger’, playing the role of a corrupt national security adviser Yulin.
Moreover, he was nominated for a CableACE Award for Guest Actor in a Dramatic Special or Series in 1997 besides earning a Primetime Emmy nomination for his performance in the comedy series ‘Frasier’, for the CTV and USA Network series ‘La Femme Nikita’.
Furthermore, he played the recurring role of Quentin Travers in three episodes of The WB’s Supernatural.  The action-drama series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer was between 1999 and 2002. He was cast as the Director of the National Security Agency, Roger Stanton in the second season (2002-03) of the Fox series ‘24’.
