Early Life
On the 29th of August 1949, Grichka Bogdanoff was born in Saint-Lary, Gers, France. At the age of 72 year old, he passed away from the world and held French nationality. His full name is Grégoire “Grichka” Youriévitch Bogdanoffand has a birth sign of Virgo. In addition, he belongs to French ethnicity to French parents of Russian and Polish descent.
He was born to his father Yuri Ostasenko-Bogdanoff, and his mother Maria Dolores Franziska Kolowrat-Krakowská. By profession, his father was a painter while his mother was a housewife. He has an elder brother named Igor Youriévitch Bogdanoff.
He and his brother Igor are twin brothers and Igor is 40 minutes older than Gruchka. As a child, the two brothers were raised by his grandmother, Countess Bertha Kolowrat-Krakowská. The two brothers can speak German, Russian, and English.
Education
Grichka is a highly educated individual with a background in science and engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Burgundy in France, which he earned in 1979. Before that, he received a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Burgundy.
Grichka has also studied at other prestigious universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. He has also pursued a career in television presenting and science communication.
Death
Grichka along with his brother, Igor was both hospitalized, at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital in Paris in critical condition on 15 December 2021, after contracting COVID-19.
Sadly, he died on 28 December while his brother Igor died six days later, on 3 January 2022. The two brothers were both 72 years old and were unvaccinated. Both the twin brothers were laid to rest on January 10, 2022, at the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, France.

Grichka Bogdanoff, along with his twin brother Igor, is known for being a popular television presenter, writer, and science communicator in France. With his brother Igor, Grichka started their career in the 1970s as a science fiction writer.
They wrote several books together, including the popular “La mémoire double” (The Double Memory) in 1977. They also wrote scripts for television shows and movies.
In the 1980s, the Bogdanoff twins became well-known television presenters in France, hosting a variety of science and technology shows. One of their most famous programs was “Temps X,” which aired from 1987 to 1990.
They also hosted “Rayons X,” “Voyages dans l’invisible,” and “E=MC².” Moreover, the Bogdanoff twins are known for their interest in science, particularly theoretical physics and cosmology. They have published several books on these subjects, including “Avant le Big Bang” (Before the Big Bang) and “Le visage de Dieu” (The Face of God).
In addition to their work in science and television, the Bogdanoff twins have also been involved in politics. They have been members of the European Parliament, and Grichka ran for the French presidency in 2007.

Controversy

In 2002, the Bogdanoff twins published a book titled “La physique de l’impossible” (The Physics of the Impossible), in which they proposed a theory of the universe based on the “topological field theory” and claimed to have discovered a new form of mathematics.
Their ideas were met with skepticism by many in the scientific community, who criticized them for lacking scientific rigor and making unsubstantiated claims.
In 2010, the Bogdanoff twins were sued by physicist Jean Guitton for plagiarism. Guitton claimed that the Bogdanoff twins had copied his work on the “theory of everything” without giving him credit. The case was eventually dismissed, but it further damaged the twins’ reputation in the scientific community.
