Professional Career
Gerina Piller started playing golf at the age early age of 15. She attempted but failed, to qualify for the LPGA circuit in September 2007. She took part in the Future Tour in 2008.
The next year, she attempted but failed to qualify for the LPGA Tour. She was conditional basis status on the LPGA circuit for 2010 in 2009. On consecutive Tours, she completed the entire season.

She spent the full season on the Duramed Futures Tour, where she finished in the top ten seven times and tied for second in both the iMPACT Classic and the USI Championship, a personal best.
She finished fifth on the Futures Tour money list in 2010, earning her full LPGA Tour membership in 2011. After that, she finished 68th on the official money list of the LPGA in 2012, however, she preserved her full playing card.
She had a better year in 2012, with two top-ten finishes and a 48th-place finish on the LPGA official money list at the end of the year. In 2018, she took a break from the LPGA Tour.

As a sportsperson, she has received some recognition and award. In 2007, she was Conference USA Champion, and the same year, she was Conference USA Player of the Year. Following that year, she was awarded the UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
