The actor’s birthdate is 10th January 1961 and his birthplace is New York City, United States. His parents seem to be secular Jewish whose names are mother, Enid Irene, and father, Murry Raymond. So, he has also been following Judaism since his birth. Evan was raised with his siblings, Lowell and Lilian in the Town of Cortlandt, New York, near Croton-on-Hudson, New York. Handler has worked in numerous TV films and sitcoms since 1981 to present. Some of them include “Six Feet Under”, “The West Wing”, “Lost”, “24”,  “Miami Vice”,  “Friends”, “Law & Order”, “Sex and the City”, “Ed”, and “Power”.

In “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, he showed his work as co-executive producer, Ricky Tahoe. Likewise, the American actor was present in the ABC sitcoms “It’s Like”, “You Know..”. and “Hot Properties” and also in the ill-fated FOX sitcom, “Whoops!”.

As for his film works, he appeared in 1996’s “Ransom”, 1981’s “The Chosen”, 1987’s “Sweet Lorraine”, and 1981’s “Taps”. In the year 2000, he acted as Larry Fine in the made-for-TV biopic, “The Three Stooges”.

He also got the role of Goldman Sachs CEO, Lloyd Blankfein in the HBO film, “Too Big to Fail”. It was based on Andrew Ross Sorkin’s book of the same name. From 2007 to 2014, the actor was cast as Charlie Runkle, the best friend, and agent to David Duchovny’s role, Hank Moody on “Californication”.

In 2016, he got a recurring character of Alan Dershowitz to play in “American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson”. The role was of an attorney-adviser for the defense in the O. J. Simpson murder case in the year 1995.

In 1991, he notably got off stage in the 1st act of a performance of the Broadway drama, “I Hate Hamlet” after co-star, Nicol Williamson ruined the composition during a sword-fighting part and struck Evan on the behind. Handler’s alternate resumed the act, for which Gregory Peck and Elaine Stritch were in presence.
