After playing a few years with the Pirates, he went to the Texas Rangers in 1998. There he played for two years before joining Toronto Blue Jays in 2000.
Following his career, he went on to join and play for teams like Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Washington Nationals, etc.
Further, he also got the opportunity to play for Oakland Athletics, but his performance degraded due to injury, back and shoulder problems, etc.
