After graduating from Oberlin College in 2006, Drew Grant joined the workforce in February 2007 as a pop culture editorial assistant at 236.com, a sister site of Huffington Post.

She worked there for one year and four months before joining Jossip Initiatives, a web publisher that puts out blogs, as an editor.

She covered many news and events and served there for about 10 months, from August 2008 to May 2009. In April 2009, she began blogging at Nerve, a digital communications company.

It concentrates on strategy, creativity, and technology and it aims to teach the audiences how to be more engaged, informed, inspired, and empowered to take action.

But she left the company in August 2009. Grant joined Crushable.com in April 2009, as a staff writer at about the same time. She started blogging for Nerve.

Crushable used to be an online news outlet that exclusively reported on pop culture.

But later it changed its name to Alloy and became an online magazine for women. She worked with the company for about one year and eleven months, until February.
