Deidre Reid hails from the United States of America and holds American nationality. When she went missing in September 2021, she was around 41 years old and making her birth year around 1980. She belongs to the African-American ethnicity while her religious belief, the exact date of birth, birthplace, and many others are still missing.
As a child, she grew up with her two siblings; a brother named James Reid, and Jammie Avery. However, details regarding her parents and her childhood life are still missing. Meanwhile, she was living with her family in Pageland, South Carolina.

Missing news
Deidre Reid’s missing news spread worldwide in September 2021. According to an online report, she was last seen on the 3rd of September 2021 when she was supposed to take Emanuel Bedford, the father of her son, to the Greyhound Bus Station in Charlotte. Moreover, she was last seen sporting a ponytail and wearing gray sweatpants, a light pink and white shirt, and Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
Emanuel Bedford is accused of several crimes including Reid’s disappearance and death. Following a multi-state search, Bedford was arrested by the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia on October 11, 2021. Later, Bedford was returned to Pageland for trial after being extradited.
11 miles from Bedford’s Georgia home, the submerged location of Reid’s SUV was found. Authorities determined that the blood was Reid’s after testing the DNA found in the car. According to the prosecution, Reid’s death was officially declared, but her body has not yet been found. In the meantime, Bedford is accused of murder and kidnapping. Bedford hasn’t yet made a statement in support of himself.
Escaped and recaptured after a few hours by police
According to jail officials, the 29-year-old was held in a detention facility in Marlboro County. Later, he was sent to Chesterfield County Detention Center. On the 10th of June 2023, Saturday night, he escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center and was recaptured a few hours later.

Around 9:45 p.m., he allegedly broke free from the jail, according to the sheriff’s office. He was being held on murder and kidnapping-related charges. Bedford was found around 1:35 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office reported, following a manhunt involving over 40 police officers, tracking dogs, and a helicopter.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) assisted the sheriff’s office. After Bedford was found, a second warrant for eluding capture was delivered to him.

Deidre was living with her kids whose names are still unknown at the moment. Meanwhile, Bedford is the father of one of Reid’s children. It is still unclear whether Reid and Bedford are in a relationship or not at the time of Reid’s death.
