Education

Coming toward his academic qualification, he completed his schooling at the Ransom Everglades Upper School. After completing his high school education, he enrolled in The University of Florida. He completed his graduation with a BS in Political Science and Economics.

Professional Career

After completing his graduation, Coleman Laffoon got a connection to Hollywood. On several top television projects, he worked as a cameraman. He gained recognition as a cameraman in the popular TV show Ellen DeGeneres: American Summer Documentary in 2001.

During this time, he met his ex-wife, Anne Heche. In 2004, he worked in the television show “The Dead Will Tell.” On the 24th of November 2007, he gained his California Real Estate License and started working as an agent.

Afterward, he established his own company under ‘The Laffoon Group,’ based in Los Angeles, California. Similarly, he also became the Director of Residential Sales and New Development at Compass Real Estate. However, he gained fame as the ex-husband of the late American actress, Anne Heche.

Anne Heche was a well-known American actress best known for her roles in a variety of genres in film, television, and theater. Professionally, she started her acting career after appearing in the soap opera Another World (1987–1991) portraying the twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award in 1991.

She gained some attention after co-starring role in the independent film “Walking and Talking” (1996) and for her standout supporting role in the crime drama “Donnie Brasco” (1997).

In 1997, she did other movie roles in the films “Volcano,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” and “Wag the Dog.” She rose to prominence when she appeared in the 1998 romantic comedy “Six Days, Seven Nights” opposite Harrison Ford. That same year, she starred in Gus Van Sant’s shot-for-shot remake of “Psycho.”

She appeared in fewer acting roles from 1999 to 2001 and concentrated on directing projects, most notably a segment of the HBO anthology film “If These Walls Could Talk 2” (2000).

Onwards, she started focusing on independent films, TV series, and some stage roles. Her other movie roles included Cedar Rapids (2011), Catfight (2016), and My Friend Dahmer (2017). Similarly, she was seen in several dramatic television series, including Men in Trees (2006–2008) and Hung (2009–2011).

She participated as a contestant in the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars in 2020. She was critically injured when she crashed her car into a house at high speed on the 5th of August 2022. On the 11th of August 2022, she died at a hospital in Los Angeles.
