During his tenure on the Fox News Channel, he worked for popular shows like “The Kelly File” and “Perino & Stirewalt: I’ll Tell You What.” From 2016 to 2020, he co-hosted the podcast “Perino & Stirewalt: I’ll Tell You What.”

His role at Fox Channel included serving as the network’s “main on-air analyst of polls and voting trends.” Moreover, he presented Fox’s weekly Power Play show. Fox News fired him in January 2021.
In February 2021, Stirewalt joined The Dispatch as a contributing editor. He began working as the political editor for NewsNation on May 24, 2022. On January 18, 2024, NewsNation announced that Stirewalt would host a new Sunday public affairs show “The Hill Sunday,” which will start airing on March 3, 2024.
Besides his reporting, he is an author. In September 2018, he published his book, “Every Man a King: A Short, Colorful History of American Populists” by Twelve. He is the author of “Broken News: Why the Media Rage Machine Divides America” and “How to Fight Back,” which was published by Hachette an imprint of Center Street in August 2022.
