Chris Santos is an American celebrity chef based in New York. Chris Santos is the executive chef and owner of The Stanton Social on New York’s Lower East Side. He is a recurring guest judge on the Food Network show “Chopped” and is developing a show of his own.
Early Life
Chris Santos opened his eyes to this world on the 26th of March 1972, in Fall River, Massachusetts, in the United States of America. He is currently 51 years old and has a birth sign of Aries. He holds American nationality and is of Portuguese-Irish descent.

Coming towards his academics, he went to Bristol High School and graduated in the year 1989. Later, he enrolled at Johnson & Wales University Providence Campus to learn culinary arts. In addition, he studied restaurant and hotel management and was recognized in 1993.
Professional Career
Initially, Chris Santos began working in the kitchen washing pots at a small local restaurant in his hometown of Bristol, Rhode Island when he was just 13 years old. Eventually, the chef moved him from the sink to the stove, where he began learning to cook in his early teens.
After completing his graduation from Johnson & Wales, he relocated to New York City, and in 1994, he was hired by the iconic Time Café, where he eventually would become executive chef at the age of 23, remaining until 1998. In 1999, he spent the better part of a year traveling through Europe, visiting 14 countries and over 40 cities, which only fueled his passion and love for cooking. Santos returned to New York City in 2000.
When he returned to the United States, one of his first kitchen jobs was at Boston’s French-inspired Cranebook Restaurant and Tearoom. He worked as a consultant chef for Rue 57 for a short time. Santos, then 29, opened his first restaurant, Wyanoka, in November 2000, as a partner and executive chef.
He became executive chef at the award-winning Latin restaurant Suba in 2003, and the following year at Brooklyn, New York’s Mojo. Moreover, this chef was also co-owner and executive chef at The Mexican Sandwich Company in Brooklyn, New York.

He and his partners Rich Wolf and Peter Kane opened The Stanton Social, his most successful restaurant at the time, in January 2005. This restaurant, located on New York City’s Lower East Side, was well received and has been praised in numerous prestigious magazines and newspapers, including Time Out New York, New York Magazine, and The New York Times.
Beauty & Essex, his largest restaurant to date, opened in December 2010. The historic M. Katz Furniture store on the Lower East Side has been transformed into a dramatic bi-level restaurant and lounge with a two-story crystal chandelier and a twenty-foot skylight.
Beauty & Essex was named the “Hottest Restaurant in the U.S.” just months after it opened. The restaurant, which is a popular destination for A-listers, has helped Santos’ career as an influential celebrity chef.
In April 2013, Santos joined forces with Brian Pedone to launch Boxing For All, Inc. Quiet Punch, a home boxing product inspired by Santos’ love of boxing, was later developed by the company.
This chef plans to open Vandal, his third restaurant in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, in January 2016. He is planning two new restaurants for Los Angeles and Las Vegas in 2016. Moreover, he is also working on his first cookbook and hopes to launch a long-rumored line of tattoo-inspired chef apparel with celebrity Tattoo Artist Michelle Myles.
Santos co-founded Blacklight Media Records, a hard rock and heavy metal label, with Metal Blade Records in February 2016. He announced on July 14, 2022, that Stanton Social Prime will open in 2023 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

As a guest celebrity chef, he has appeared in the cooking reality show called “Chopped” for several seasons. Aside from that, he was there from season one to season eleven. As a result, he was also one of the show’s most important judges. Other TV shows he enjoyed include The Today Show, The Food Network’s Heavyweights, and The Martha Stewart Show.
