Talking about the beginning of her boxing career, Choi entered the amateur ranks in South Korea in the year 2006. She then won 5 domestic titles and turned professional in the year 2007.
Her debut match as a professional boxer was against Xu Chun Yan. Then in August 2013, she fought for the WBA Interim female super-featherweight title. For this title, she played against Emika Raika.
Moreover, in May 2016, this professional boxer competed for Unathi Myekeni for the vacant WBG female super-featherweight title. She won this match too. Then in 2017, this talented boxer retained her WBA female super-featherweight title in two matches.
