Then a year later he became the CEO of Nissan Motor Company Ltd. till the year 2017. Likewise, at the beginning of the year 2007, Carlos led the Renault-Nissan Alliance into the zero-emission electric car market and within a decade of it, it left behind other electric car manufacturers like Tesla. In the year 2013, Carlos became chairman of AvtoVAZ which is a Russian automobile manufacturer. On the year 2016, he became the chairman of Japan’s Mitsubishi Motors. Similarly, in the year 2017, he, however, resigned as the CEO of Nissan but became its chairman.

This business tycoon has been charged with underreporting his compensation and using the company’s assets for personal use in the year 2018. Followed by the same year he was dismissed as a chairman of Nissan and Mitsubishi. He then retires as the chairman and CEO of Renault in the year 2019. Moreover, he was in solitary confinement in Tokyo for 130 years and later became under house arrest. He later escaped to Istanbul and then to Beirut, Lebanon. However, at last, he pleaded innocent and accused Nissan of fabricating his charges of him.
