In the quarterfinals, Calysta sang “Brave” by Sara Bareilles. She defeated Moya Angela to advance to the semifinals. Standing ovations were given again when she performed Christina Perri’s song “Human” during the semifinals, however, she was eliminated and did not go to the finals.
