Bruce Fleisher is a late professional golfer from the United States. Bruce Fleisher is known for his successful career on the PGA Tour Champions, formerly known as the Senior PGA Tour.
Early Life
Born as Bruce Lee Fleisher, best known as Bruce Fleisher was born on the 16th of October 1948. in Union City, Tennessee, the United States of America. At the age of 72 years old, he passed away and held American nationality. He has a birth sign of Libra and belongs to the Jewish ethnicity. Similarly, he has his belief in Judaism religion.
At the age of 7, when he started caddying with his two older brothers at a nearby course, he became interested in golf. His brothers’ names are Leslie and Jerry. However, he did not disclose anything related to his parent’s names and their professions till the time of his death. When he was 14 years old, his game began to flourish and the family relocated to Miami.
In terms of his academics, he went to a local community school in Miami. Later, he went to Miami-Dade Junior College and completed his graduation from Furman University.

Professional Career
Bruce Fleisher won the U.S. Amateur in 1968 at the age of 19, making him the third-youngest winner ever. At the 1969 Masters Tournament, he was also the lowest amateur. In 1969, he became a professional.
At the Maccabiah Games in Israel in 1969, he won gold in both individual and team golf competitions. As a club professional for the majority of his professional career, Fleisher won the 1989 PGA Club Professional Championship. His regular tournament career was modest, with only the 1991 New England Classic, a win on the PGA Tour, and a few victories in smaller competitions.
With 18 victories on the Champions Tour (now the PGA Tour Champions), including one senior major, the 2001 U.S. Senior Open, he enjoyed much greater success. In his first two Champions Tour events, he became the first player to ever win back-to-back, which helped him win Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honours in 1999. He has also achieved success on the European Seniors Tour once, at the Irish Seniors Open in 2000.
At the Maccabiah Games in 1989 and the Maccabiah Games in 2013 in Israel, he served as the team’s head coach for the USA Open Golf Team.
Awards
In his career, he has won several games and tournaments. However, he has only once earned an award throughout his career. In 1991, he won the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year. He was inducted in 2017 to the Greater Wilmington ( North Carolina) Sports Hall of Fame.
