Brian Baumgartner made his acting debut in the 2001 romantic comedy film “Herman U.S.A.” In the movie, he played the role of Roger, and the movie was directed by Bill Semans. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue a career in acting.

He made his television debut in 2003 playing a minor role in an episode of the popular TV series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” That same year, he played the role of AI Grissom, appearing in an episode of the NBC network’s legal drama TV series “The Lyon’s Den.” Moreover, he played several minor roles in TV series such as “LAX,” “Arrested Development,” “Jake in Progress,” and “Everqood.”

However, he made his breakthrough role after he was cast for playing Kevin Malone on the NB’s situational comedy series “The Office.” From the year 2005 to 2013, he played the role, appearing total of 201 episodes. Similarly, he has also directed the series’ sixteenth episode from the eighth season, ‘After Hours.’ He also starred in other spin-offs, including “The Office: The Accountants” and “The Office: Kevin’s Loan.”

Later, he starred in films such as “License to Wed,” “Four Christmases,” “Into Temptation,” and “Moosecock” (short film). In 2011, he voiced Georgy in an episode of the popular animated television series “Adventure Time” the episode ‘Heat Signature.’ The following year, he starred as Bob Jansen in Eric Hayden’s science fiction movie “Astronaut: The Last Push.”

In 2014, he appeared in seven TV series as a supporting actor, including “Maker Shack Agency,” “Charles, Your Hangover,” “Criminal Minds,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Bad Teacher,” “Rake,” and ‘The Bridge.”

Moreover, in 2015, he appeared as Jo McCoy in an episode of the comedy television series “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, & Dawn.” In the same year, he appeared in three episodes of the famous situational comedy TV series “Melissa & Joey.”

Continued his successful career

He appeared in five television series in 2016, including “The Crossroads of History,” “Scream Queens,” “Blunt Talk,” “Chicago Fire,” and ‘The Goldbergs.’

He also appeared in films such as “Ordinary World” and “Diagnosis Delicious” (TV film) that same year. Also, he appeared as Frank the Mercado in Paul Feig’s 2016 spooky comedy film “Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.” His segment, however, was not included in the theatrical edit.
