Early Life
Bobby Debarge was born on March 5, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, United States. His zodiac sign is Pisces. He is the son of Etteriene Abney and Army soldier Robert Debarge.
His real name is Robert Louis but he is famous as Bobby Debarge. There is no information about his education. But as a child, he was very unhappy as his father was very abusive.

Career and Professional Life
Bobby Debarge started his early career by performing with his brother Tommy. They performed together for local bands.
Later, he joined Gregory Williams a fellow singer in 1975. Due to the teamwork with many musicians they were successful to be auditioning for the Barry White group.
He then fired all the white heat singers in 1976 due to the issues of tax. Likewise, after a few times, he formed a new music group along with ten singers. He kept his group name as Hot Ice.
Moreover, they also released a new album which was named Pall Mall Groove in 1977. During that time he was already addicted to cocaine. He then promised the group that he would not be more into addiction.
After that, the members called themselves switches as they could switch their musical instruments. Later, the group debuted in one album which was named Switch.
It was released in 1978. After doing more interesting in the musical field in 1979, they released Switch II. Similarly, along with full determination in the work, they were able to release a third gold-selling album.
It was released in 1980 and it was titled This Is My Dream. He again got addicted to drugs. Due to this problems started rising among the group members.
After releasing the group’s fifth album he left the group in 1981. The title of his fifth album was Switch V. Furthermore, his siblings made a group which was named Debarge.
He then started to work on his new brand with his siblings where he released a new album. The title of their new album was Bad Boys which was released after his death in 1987.
