Benjamin Sesko is a Slovenian Professional Football Player. Benjamin Sesko plays as a forward for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and the Slovenia national team. He became the youngest-ever player for the senior Slovenia national team when he made his debut in June 2021 when he was 18 years old.
Early Life and Childhood
Benjamin Sesko was born on May 31, 2003, in Radeče, Slovenia. He is 20 years old and is under the astrological sign, Gemini. He holds Slovenian nationality.
His father’s name is Aleš Šeško and his mother’s name is Slađana Lazić. And, his mother hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He grew up along with a sister and her name is Zala Seško.

Career and Professional Life
Benjamin Sesko started his career at his hometown club Radeče when he was in the first grade. He went on to spend one year with Rudar Trbovlje in the under-11 selection, before returning to Radeče.
Then, in the year 2016, he was able to transfer to Krško. There, he was able to play for the under-15s and under-17s. Also, in the 2017–18 season, he scored 59 goals in 23 matches for the under-15s. He went on to join Domžale in the year 2018 and stayed there for one season.
Likewise, when he turned 16, he was able to sign a three-year professional contract with Red Bull Salzburg and debuted on 30 January 2021. He was moved to their farm club FC Liefering immediately after signing with Red Bull Salzburg.
He got the opportunity to compete in the Austrian Second League. Also, in the 2020–21 season, he was able to become the league’s second-best goalscorer and scored most of his goals in the final part of the season.
Benjamin then in July 2023 went on to join RB Leipzig on a five-year contract until 2028, for a reported transfer fee of around €24 million. He first scored for RB Leipzig in September 2023. Also, on 19 September, he was able to score his first UEFA Champions League goal.
Moreover, because his mother hails from Doboj, Sesko was eligible for Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well. But he opted for Slovenia having represented the country at the under-15, under-16, under-17, and under-19 levels.
He even was able to make his under-19 debut in a friendly game against Austria in September 2020. As soon as he turned 18, he became the youngest debutant in the national team. And, in October 2021, he was able to score his first goal for Slovenia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match. This score made him Slovenia’s youngest-ever goalscorer at the age of 18 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Furthermore, Benjamin Sesko helped Slovenia avoid relegation to League C with two decisive goals during the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League B campaign. And, his goal against Sweden was described as a “wonder goal” by the media and was nominated as one of the best goals of the matchday by UEFA.
