Barbara was born on March 11, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. She is 61 years old. The actress is usually called by her nickname Babs. Her father is Allen Woods but there is no detail about her mother.
Soon after she was born, the family migrated to Darien. There, she spent the rest of her growing-up years and attended Hinsdale South High School.

Due to the format change of the show, she only appeared in four episodes of season 5 but in season 6, she returned as a series regular.
This beautiful actress played the lead role in the 1993 USA Network prime-time soap opera Eden, which was later cancelled after 26 episodes. Furthermore, she posed nude for the June 1993 issue of Playboy as part of a promotion for the television series called Eden.

Also, in 1996, she appeared in Demi Moore’s film Striptease.
In addition, the actress also has appeared in guest roles on numerous TV series which include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picket Fences, Married… with Children, Desperate Housewives, The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, Murder, She Wrote, Touched by an Angel, Dream On, and was recurring on ABC’s The Gates in 2010.
