Moreover, he spent 9 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. During that time he was remembered as The Catch. In 1982 NFC, had a touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys. In 1987, Dwight announced his retirement. Additionally, he played with the 49ers for 9 seasons.

After his retirement, he worked as a team executive with the 49ers. He worked there until 1998. Later, Clark became Cleveland Brown’s first General Manager in the expansion era. Moreover, he served as Executive Vice President and Director of Football Operations from 1999 to 2001. On May 14, 2002, he resigned from the position with the Browns.
Additionally, he appeared in the directed-to-video film Kindergarten Ninja, in 1993. Moreover, Dwight appeared in the video game All-Pro Football 2k8 as well.

Later, Dwight Clark married Kelly Radzikowski, in 2011. Moreover, he announced on March 19, 2011, that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He stated that he developed ASL as a result of playing football. He said,” I don’t know for sure. But I certainly suspect it did. And I encourage the National Football League Players Association and the NFL to continue working together in their efforts to make the game of football safer, especially as it relates to head trauma.”
Unfortunately, Dwight Clark died of disease on June 4, 2018. He took his last breath in Whitefish, Montana, where he and his wife lived.
