Early Life
Ann Reinking was born on November 10, 1949, in Seattle, Washington, United States. She was American by nationality and she followed Christianity. Being born on November 10, her birth sign was Scorpio.
Talking about her parents, Reinking was born to his father Walter Floyd Reinking, and her mother Frances (nee Harison). Her father Walter was a hydraulic engineer while her mother Frances was a homemaker. She grew up in the area of Bellevue.

Regarding her educational background, she completed her schooling at Bellevue High School. She already debuted her professional performance at the age of 12 in a production of Giselle with the English Royal Ballet.

Ann Reinking started her dancing career as a part of the corps de ballet at the Radio City Music Hall. Likewise, the dancer made her Broadway debut at the age of 19 in the musical Cabaret. In 1974, Reinking played the role of Maggie in “Over Here”. Similarly, she appeared in “Goodtime Charley” as Joan of Arc in 1975.
Moving on, she appeared in “A Chorus Line” (1976), “Chicago” (1977), “All That Jazz” (1979″, “Annie”, and many more. In 1985, she appeared at the 57th Academy Awards to give a mostly lip-synced vocal performance. She choreographed Tommy Tune Tonite in 1992. In 1996, she retired from performing. After that, she co-created, co-directed, and co-choreographed the revue Fosse in 1996.
She has also worked as a mediator of annual New York City public school dance competitions. She took retirement in 2017 and started living in Paradise Valley, Arizona till her death.

She has won several awards throughout her life. In 1997, she won her first Tony Award for Best Choreographer. Similarly, in 2001, she was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer. Likewise, she won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Choreography in 1997.
