During her college year, Alice Gainer joined Fordham University’s NPR-affiliated radio station WFUV and earned the “Individual Achievement for Best Anchor (Radio)” award. In addition, she also served as an anchor for the campus television station.
After graduating, she worked for NPR affiliate WBGO radio station in New Jersey, then WABC commercial talk radio station in New York City, where she lasted less than a year before joining Air America Satellite Radio.

She subsequently proceeded to work for News 12 New Jersey for eight years before returning to New York to work for WNYW Fox 5, while also appearing on CNN, Fox Business Happy Hour, and Fox News Chanel. She transferred to work for both WLNY-TV and WCBS-TV stations, where she has remained for over a year.
Apart from her journalism works, she has appeared in several movies such as “The Bourne Legacy”, “The Week Of”, and “Delivery Man”, playing an MSNBC anchor in all these. She featured in a single episode of the CBS drama TV series “Bull” in 2016, and she may be seen in a commercial for New York Mega Millions, as well as other MTV commercials.
Similarly, she also competed in the Miss New Jersey USA competition for several years in a row, placing in the first 15 each year. She became Miss Somerset County in the year 2006.
