Alex Gaskarth is a British Rock Singer and Rhythm Guitarist. Alex Gaskarth was a teenager when he was actually part of a cover band, “Crew Fighters”. It was during that time that he went on to meet Jack Barakat, who convinced him to form and join “All Time Low”. They started off by doing covers of songs by Blink-182 and Green Day. And to complete the band’s lineup, Zack Merrick and Rian Dawson, who were also in Crew Fighters, decided to join All Time Low as well.
Likewise, Gaskarth along with Jack Barakat actually started playing music together back in eighth grade. Then, in ninth grade, they brought in Zack Merrick and Rian Dawson to form All Time Low in the year 2003. They went on to sign with Emerald Moon Records in the year 2004 and were able to release their first EP, “The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End”. And it was in the year 2005, they were able to drop their debut studio album, “The Party Scene”.
Later on, they went on to sign with Hopeless Records in the year 2006. After a year, they released the hit single “Dear Maria, Count Me In”, which went Platinum in 2015 and 2x Multi-Platinum in 2021. They also released their second studio album, “So Wrong, It’s Right”, that year. Then in 2009, they came out with their third studio album “Nothing Personal”, which debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
“All Time Low” signed with Interscope Records and dropped their fourth studio album “Dirty Work” in the year 2011. Then, in early 2012, they re-signed with Hopeless Records and went on to release their fifth studio album “Don’t Panic”. They also released their sixth studio album “Future Hearts”, which was able to reach number 2 on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart and snag the number 1 spot on the U.K. official Album Charts.

They were able to keep the momentum going in 2017 with their seventh studio album, “Last Young Renegade”, after signing with Fueled by Ramen. Just recently, on Valentine’s Day 2023, they released a new song “Modern Love” from their upcoming album “Tell Me I’m Alive”.
Moreover, Gaskarth has collaborated with some great bands such as 5 Seconds of Summer, McBusted, and Simple Plan. Also, he and Jack Barakat hosted the podcast Full Frontal together from 2013 to 2015. They then transitioned the show to Twitch as Crash Test Live. Even hosted the Alternative Press Music Awards in 2015 and 2016.
On January 24, 2019, Gaskarth went on to make the big announcement that he was teaming up with Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 to form a new group, “Simple Creatures”. Furthermore, from the year 2004 to 2008, he was able to play Gibson SG-X guitars. Then, in mid-2013, he switched to custom-made Paul Reed Smith guitars, particularly the Mira. However, he did mention in a Reddit AMA that he stopped using them because it was challenging to find replacement parts while travelling abroad. Nowadays, Gaskarth primarily uses Fender guitars, especially the Mustang 90 models. But he’s also been spotted playing Telecasters and some of Fender’s acoustic models.
