Early Life and Childhood

Ahmed Musa was born on October 14, 1992, in the city of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria to Alhaji Musa and Sarah Moses. He is of Libra birth sign and his current age is 31 years old. His father was Muslim originally from the northern Nigerian state of Borno. His mother, who was his father’s second wife, is a Christian from Edo State. He has 4 sisters.

Ahmed Musa joined the Saint Peace Primary School. He later joined the Ihya’ul Islamic Secondary School. Therefore, he got his soccer education at the GBS Football Academy.

Professional Life

In 2008, he attended the GBS Football Academy, where his performances caught the attention of Nigerian clubs. After a year, Musa joined JUTH FC where he played 18 games and scored 4 goals. Next year, in 2010, he joined Kano Pillars where his rise to fame started.

By January 2017, Ahmed Musa was yet to register an assist for the club, offering an average of 0.5 key passes, 0.3 crosses, and 1.2 successful dribbles per game. He returned to CSKA Moscow on loan for the remainder of the 2017–18 season on 30 January 2018,

On 4 August 2018, he relocated to the Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr on a permanent deal. On 17 June 2020, he entered the Kerala Blasters.

International career

On 5 August 2010, he made his debut for the Nigeria senior team in a qualification match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar at the age of 17. He came on as a replacement for John Obi-Mikel in a 2–0 win. He scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in a March 2011 friendly against Kenya.

In April 2011, he was included in the Nigerian national under-20 football team squad to serve the nation in the 2011 African Youth Championship qualifiers. He represented Nigeria U20 in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Colombia in August 2011. Likewise, he scored three goals in five matches. He even got included by FIFA in a shortlist of 10 candidates for the Adidas Golden Bal and was awarded as the most outstanding player of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

On 7 December 2011, he became one of the four nominees named for the Confederation of African Football Most Promising Talent Award. Then he entered into Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. There he scored in a 4–1 semi-final defeat of Mali and performed as a substitute against Burkina Faso in the final, as the Super Eagles won their fifth continental title. Overall he made an appearance in five of the team’s six matches. He started in all three of the team’s matches as they were eliminated in the group stage at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
