A career in Music, Directing, and Writing
In the year 2004, he released a three-track EP under the record label Dented Records. Then in 2007, he released The Eat Up. It is his first album. He has also collaborated with a variety of artists. Some of them are Foreign Beggars, Asian Dub Foundation, Plan B, Dubbledge, and Doc Brown among others.
Later the same year, he released a collaborative EP called Pre-Emptive Nostalgia. He collaborated with the group A State of Mind for this EP. Two years later, in 2009, he collaborated with rapper Dr. Syntax. They worked together to bring the collaborative album titled Scene-Stealers under the name Skreintax.
He made his feature film debut with the short film Little River Run. He directed as well as wrote the short drama film and released it on 20 July 2020 via his Instagram. He is also a patron and mentor for The Big House Theatre Company. It is a charity where young people who have given up on themselves gain the skills and confidence to turn their lives around. They work with care leavers who are at high risk of social exclusion and provide them a platform to participate in theatre to have their voices heard.

His debut film is Plan B’s short film, Michelle. He then got his first lead role in Plan B’s Ill Manors. Ill Manors’s plot revolves around the lives of eight characters as they struggle to survive on the streets. The scenes take place over seven days. Each story blends into the others, painting a gritty picture of a world on the brink of destruction.
In 2013, he appeared in the critically-acclaimed and BAFTA and Critics Choice Television Award-winning HBO series, Game of Thrones. In 2014, he replaced Jason Statham as the lead in The Transporter: Refueled. Later in 2016, he played the lead villain named Ajax in the blockbuster action film Deadpool.
In 2017, he appeared in the music video for Eye Contact. It is a song by Ocean Wisdom and he played the bad guy in this music video. Then in 2018, he starred in the psychological revenge thriller In Darkness. For this film, he worked alongside Natalie Dormer and Stacy Martin.
On 8 November 2019, he starred in Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster movie Midway. He worked along with actors Mandy Moore, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Dennis Quaid, and Woody Harrelson for this movie.
He has also starred in the Danish drama, The Model released in 2016. The director of this film is Mads Matthiesen. Mads won the “World Cinema – Dramatic” award for his film, Teddy Bear at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The Model follows the plot where an emerging fashion model attempting to enter the Parisian fashion scene develops a deadly obsession with top fashion photographer Shane White played by him.
