Wisin is a popular Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and record producer. Wisin is widely recognized as a member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel and is noted for his unique and aggressive rapping style.
Early Life
Born as Juan Luis Morera Luna better known by his stage name Wisin, was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, on December 19, 1978. He holds a Puerto Rican nationality and belongs to Puerto Rican ethnicity. According to the astrological chart, he has a birth sign of Sagittarius and is currently 45 years old.
He was born to his father Juan Luis and his mother Miriam Luna. Unfortunately, there is very little information available on the internet regarding his early childhood life.

Professional Career
Wisin and his school friend Yandel began performing as a duo in the late 1990s and made their album debut in 2000 with “Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio.”
They then moved to a big label in 2003 with “Mi Vida… My Life,” their first for Universal subsidiary Machete Music. Their fourth album “Pa’l Mundo” propelled them to mainstream popularity in 2005.
Wisin & Yandel then launched their label, WY Records, and introduced an associate group, Los Vaqueros.

In November 2013, after the duo’s Líderes tour, they went into hiatus. Despite reports that their separation was due to disputes, Yandel denied the accusations and declared they had not dissolved.
Wisin’s debut solo album, El Sobreviviente, had its released in 2004, and his second solo studio album, El Regreso del Sobreviviente, was released 10 years later, in 2014. He is presently collaborating with Prince Royce on their Power and Love Tour.
Wisin and Yandel reunited in 2018 and released their tenth studio album after a five-year separation. The latest album is titled “Los Campeones del Pueblo / The Big Leagues.”
On July 11, 2018, Telemundo announced Wisin’s appointment as a coach on La Voz (US). Wisin joins Luis Fonsi, Carlos Vives, and Alejandra Guzmán as coaches on the Spanish-language edition of NBC’s singing competition “The Voice.”
Awards
Wisin has been nominated for several awards in various categories. In 2015, he received the Latin Rhythm Album of the Year for El Regreso del Sobreviviente. That same year, he won Latin Rhythm Albums Artist of the Year, Solo. In 2016, he was awarded Los Vaqueros: La Trilogía.

With the marriage, the couple is blessed with three kids; Yelena, Dylan Luna, and Victoria. Meanwhile, was born with Patau syndrome and she passed away on September 30, 2016, from that disease.
