In 2019, he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Editing and won the ACE Eddie Award and the Academy Award for his work on “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which Ottman saw through on his own after both directors left (Bryan Singer was fired, and Dexter Fletcher began pre-production on “Rocketman” shortly after finishing the shoot).
Working with producers Graham King and Dennis O’Sullivan, Ottman managed the film’s post-production development as well as the difficult seas between filmmaker and studio.
