Roksana Wegiel’s singing career started in the year 2017 when she went on to audition for the season one Polish version of the singing reality show “The Voice Kids.” In the blind audition round, she sang Beyonce’s song “Halo” and was able to turn three coaches’ chairs for her.
She joined the team of Polish singer-songwriter Edyta Górniak. On the 24th of February 2018, she was announced the winner in the final during which she performed Górniak’s 1994 Eurovision entry “To nie ja!”, and an original song “Żyj.”
Afterward, she signed to Universal Music Polska and she released her second single, “Obiecuje.” She also collaborated with Górniak on the single “Zatrzymać chwilę,” the soundtrack of the Polish version of the film Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) confirmed Węgiel as Poland’s participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018, which will be held in Minsk, Belarus.

The song “Anyone I Want to Be” was written by an international collaboration, including Polish vocalist Lanberry, Danish producer Cutfather, British-American lyricist Maegan Cottone, and Danish-Norwegian musician Daniel Heløy Davidsen.
On the 6th of November 2018, the song and its official music video were released. Within two weeks, the video surpassed one million views on YouTube and became the most-watched video of the 2018 contest. She became the winner of the Contents on 25 November, placing first with the viewing public and seventh with the professional juries.
Aftermath
Moreover, she released the single titled “Lay Low” on 12 April 2019, which drew criticism for its racy lyrics branded by some as inappropriate for her age. Her self-titled debut album was released in June 2019, and it was subsequently certified Platinum in Poland.
On August 22, 2019, she was named as one of the hosts for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, together with Ida Nowakowska and Aleksander Sikora, which took place in November. In March 2023, she released her second album “13+5.”

In 2019, she won the Young Choice Award in the Top of the Top Sopot Festival, Similarly, she also won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Polish Act as well as the Plejada Award for Debut of the Year category that same year.
