In 1973, she released her debut solo European album, self-titled and produced by Del Newman. Following that, she released a string of popular albums and songs, including “She Loves to Hear the Music” in 1975, “The Devil is Loose” in 1976, “Asha L’ Indiana” in 1979, “I’m Gonna Kill It Tonight” in 1980, “Only the Headaches Remain” in 1982, “Hari Om” in 1990, “Lost ” in 2009, and “Je crois c’est ca l’amour” (2021).
Similarly, she wrote the single ‘The World Is Filled’ from the multi-platinum album “Life After Death.” In August 2006, she performed at New York City’s Central Park Summerstage alongside DJ Spooky, Talvin Singh, Outernational, Prefuse 73, Dewey Redman, and Dres (rapper).

Apart from her singing career, she has appeared in movies as an actress. During the 1970s, she played the lead in Merchant Ivory’s “Savages,” which premiered at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival, as well as Bruno Corbucci’s “The Gang That Sold America” (Italian title: Squadra Antigangsters).
