Ingrid Andress was born on September 21, 1991, in Southfield, Michigan, USA. But she grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She is 31 years old and is under the astrological sign, Virgo. She holds American nationality and her full name is Ingrid Elizabeth Andress.

Likewise, Ingrid attended Rock Canyon High School, where she was able to participate in high school choir competitions. She then went on to attend Berklee College of Music and majored in songwriting and performance, although she was frustrated with the school’s emphasis on theory and dropped out.
She later joined a cappella group Pitch Slapped and was able to perform on the NBC singing competition The Sing-Off. Andress later joined the group Delilah.

Ingrid Andress started her songwriting career for artists such as Sam Hunt, Alicia Keys, Charli XCX, and Why Don’t We in the year 2014 when she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and was able to sign a publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music and Arthouse Entertainment. She was able to sign a recording contract with Warner Nashville and Atlantic Records in the year 2018.
Then, a year later, she released her first song with the label, “Lady Like”, to digital platforms and was a top ten debut on Top Country Albums. She went on to release the single “More Hearts Than Mine”, which was able to reach the top five of the American and Canadian country airplay charts.
Likewise, in the same year, she was able to embark on her first headlining tour, the Lady Like Tour, in North America and Europe. Also, in April of the year 2020, she was able to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. She also released “The Stranger”, which was able to peak at number 49 on Country Airplay.
She went on to receive three Grammy Awards nominations; Best Country Song (“More Hearts Than Mine”), Best Country Album (Lady Like), and Best New Artist at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. This made her the only country artist in the general field categories.
Moreover, Ingrid was able to serve as the opening act for Dan + Shay – The (Arena) Tour in the year 2021. She then released “Wishful Drinking” which was a collaboration with Sam Hunt. This helped her earn 4th Grammy Award nomination, for Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 65th annual ceremony.
Also in the year 2021, she served as the opening act for the North American leg of Keith Urban’s The Speed of Now World Tour. She released two more singles from the album; “Seeing Someone Else”. This became her first cross-format single and peaked top 25 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, and “Feel Like This”, the album’s second country single. And, in the year 2023, she is also scheduled as the opening act for Walker Hayes.
