Pope started the band name Blake with Mike Gentile while studying at Wellington School in Wellington Florida. Mike was the guitarist of the group. In 2008 they again formed a new band “Hey Monday“. In October 2013 she released her debut album Frame By Frame after signing with the Universal Music Group. From there, Pope toured extensively, spending much of 2014 on the road. During this time, she did opening shows for Tim McGraw and Dierks Bentley.
