Tommy Kirk was born on the 10th of December 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States of America. At the age of 82 years old, he passed away and had a birth sign of Sagittarius. In addition, he belongs to the Caucasian ethnicity and his birth name is Thomas Lee Kirk.

He was born to his father Louis Kirk, and his mother, Lousic Kirk. Professionally, his father was a  mechanic who worked for the highway department. He grew up with three siblings, among them his elder brother, Joe.

Quickly, his Disney career began in 1956 when he played Joe Hardy in The Mickey Mouse Club serial “The Hardy Boys: The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure.” He rose to fame as a teen star after appearing in The Disney movies “Old Yeller” (1957), “The Shaggy Dog” (1959), and “Swiss Family Robinson” (1960).

Kirk’s contract was terminated by Disney Studios after a woman complained about the young actor’s relationship with her 15-year-old son. He made his way to American International Pictures. Moreover, he appeared in several of their low-budget teen films, including “Pajama Party” and “How to Stuff a Wild Bikini. Aside from his acting career, Kirk was a businessman. He began a carpet cleaning business and went about his business, occasionally appearing at fan conventions.
