Christine Michael is an American football running back. Christine Michael was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft after playing college football for Texas A&M.
Early Years
Christine Michael was born Christine Lynn Michael Sr. on November 9, 1990, in Beaumont, Texas, U.S. He is currently 33 years old (as of 2023). He is the son of his father Andrew Michael and his mother Mary Gilder. Likewise, he holds American nationality but his ethnicity is unknown. Michael accepted a sports scholarship to attend Texas A&M University, where he participated in football from 2009 to 2012 for the Texas A&M Aggies. Michael won the Big 12 Conference’s award for Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2009 after amassing 844 total rushing yards on 166 carries. Due to a cracked right tibia, Michael had season-ending surgery during the 2010 campaign. Four touchdowns and 631 total yards were totaled by him.

Professional Career
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks made their selection of Michael in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft (62nd overall). As the third running back in his first two seasons, behind Pro Bowler Marshawn Lynch and back-up Robert Turbin, Michael saw little action. The Seahawks competed in Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots and won Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos. On September 6, 2015, Michael was traded to the Dallas Cowboys after the Seahawks signed seasoned player Fred Jackson. The Seahawks acquired Michael along with a conditional seventh-round draft pick (Devin Lucien, number 225).
Dallas Cowboys
To increase their running back depth after DeMarco Murray left for free agency, they acquired Michael. Inactive for the first three weeks, and there were rumors that the coaching staff might start him during the Cowboys’ bye week. As a substitute, Michael took part in five games. He was released on November 17, 2015, to make room for Robert Turbin, a former Seahawks teammate.
Seattle Seahawks (second stint)
The Seattle Seahawks signed Michael on December 16, 2015, as a result of the injuries to Thomas Rawls and Marshawn Lynch. Michael rushed for a career-high 84 yards against the Cleveland Browns in his first game back with the Seahawks. Two weeks later, in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, Michael set a new career high with 102 rushing yards, including a 45-yard run. In Seattle’s Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings, Michael made his first playoff start. He finished the 10-9 victory with 70 rushing yards and 14 receiving yards. Michael and the Seattle Seahawks agreed to a one-year contract on March 17, 2016.
Michael had a then-career performance in Week 3 of the 2016 campaign against the San Francisco 49ers, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Despite being their starting running back for seven games and leading the team in rushing attempts and yards, the Seahawks released Michael on November 15, 2016. After much conjecture, head coach Pete Carroll stated that Michael’s release was a result of Thomas Rawls’s comeback and the rise of rookie running back C. J. Prosise, as well as the fact that he was significantly less effective on the field.
Green Bay Packers
On November 16, 2016, the Green Bay Packers picked up Michael off waivers. Michael re-signed with the Packers on March 23, 2017, for a $850,000, one-year contract. After selecting three running backs in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Packers released Michael on May 1, 2017.
