Early Life
On the 15th of February 1944, Paul Berry was born in Detroit, Michigan, in the United States of America. According to his birth date, he has a zodiac sign of Aquarius and is currently 80 years old. Professional Career
Moving on to his professional career, Paul Berry was sent to the Tuy Hoa Air Force Base in Vietnam in 1968, where he worked as a program director and sportscaster for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service and established the country’s first FM radio station. At Detroit’s ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV, he was hired in 1969 as a weekend anchor and reporter. He left WXYZ-TV in 1972 and was hired by Washington, D.C.’s ABC-7 WJLA-TV as a reporter and weekend news anchor.
Additionally, he began producing community service shows Seven on Your Side and Crimesolvers for WJLA-TV in 1978, and in 1993 he began hosting the station’s In-Person show. He was promoted to senior anchor on WJLA-TV’s 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts in 1994. Five years later, in 1999, he left to host The Paul Berry Show on WTNT-AM, where he remained until 2004.

He founded Paul L. Berry & Associates in 2000 and served as its president until 2006 when he was appointed an executive advisor for Booz Allen Hamilton. He was named the host of Radio America Network’s Home & Family Finances in 2007. Moreover, he was named the host of WWRC 1260 The Answer’s Streetwise with Paul Berry in 2016.
He joined the board of Neediest Kids in 1987 and served as vice president. Moreover, he founded the Paul Berry Academic Scholarship Foundation in 1994 and served as its president until 2005. Similarly, he has also served on the boards of the Ford Theatre, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, the Washington Jesuit Academy, and the Talbot County Tax Assessment Board, as well as the Chesapeake chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

During his television career, he has won several awards and recognitions. Berry received the Ted Yates Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1982. The National Martin Luther King, Jr. Student Leadership Conference presented him with the Humanitarian Award in 1986. Then, in 1991, Washingtonian magazine named Berry “Washingtonian of the Year.” He received the Capital Region Emmy Award for Outstanding News Anchor in 1993. In 1994, he was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ “Silver Circle.”
