Early Life and Childhood

Cristian Zendejas was born in 1999, in Phoenix, Arizona. His age is 25 years old. He was born to his father Luis Zendejas but his mother’s detail is not available.

His father was a former footballer and played kicker for ASU and, later, in the NFL. Likewise, his uncles Joaquin, Max, Tony, and Marty were also NFL kickers. Gerald Walsh, his godfather, also helped Hampden Sydney get into college. He holds American nationality but his ethnicity is unknown.

Career and Professional Life

Cristian is a professional American football kicker. Zendejas joined Arizona State University as a walk-on. He received a redshirt in 2016. Zendejas served as one of Brandon Ruiz’s backups as a freshman in 2018.

He took over as the team’s starting kicker in 2019 as a sophomore when Ruiz had a groin injury and was out for the entire season. After the third game against Michigan State University, he received a football scholarship in recognition of his 8-for-8 start to the season in field goal attempts. In terms of field goals made (23) and field goal percentage (85.2), he came in sixth in the country.

With four field goals made in a single game, he tied a Sun Bowl record. He was leading in the Pac-12 Conference and seventh in the country with 23 field goals made in 27 attempts. He was the fifth player in school history to make 20 or more field goals in a single season, and his field goal percentage (85.2) placed him 20th in the US.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Arizona State only participated in 4 games as a junior in 2020.[4] In the second game, he and redshirt freshman Jack Luckhurst started to form a team because he was 2 out of 4 on kicks from 40 yards or beyond. In 9 extra point tries and 2 of 4 field goals, he was successful.

He registered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on January 6, 2021. He announced his return to the team on his Instagram account on August 28. Cristian played in 12 games, making 40 of 41 extra points (97.6%) and 8 of 11 field goals (72.7%). He used the NCAA transfer portal for the second time during his college career on January 24, 2022.
