Ball is known as a voice actress for voicing two of the main characters in the long-running fantasy series “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” (2010-2019). She played the tomboy characters Applejack, a stubborn apple farmer, and Rainbow Dash, an overconfident speedster. Additionally, she appeared in the two characters in four “Equestria Girls” films (2013-2016) and several television specials. These versions were portrayed as adolescent musicians with emerging magical abilities.
Ball voices the role of adolescent inventor Mary Test in the science fantasy series “Johhny Test” and voiced the role from 2006 to 2014, while the character was previously voiced by Brittney Wilson. She voiced the role of Sissy Blakley for the same series and served as both a rival and a love interest to the protagonist.
In the short-lived series “Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-lot” (2007-2008), she voiced the accident-prone Oopsy Bear. Additionally, the show was the third edition television series based on the “Care Bares” franchise. She lent her voice to the recurring antagonist Kirstee in the second and last season of the series “Bratz” (2005-2008). Similarly, she starred in the recurring role of Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff in the second season of the superhero series “Iron Man: Armored Adventures” (2009-2012).
Following that, she was a regular voice character for Plum Pudding in “Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures” (2010-2015). In the “Voltron Force” (2011-2012), she voiced Princess Allura. Meanwhile, she lent her voice as co-protagonist Princess Talia in the English version of the magical girl series “LoliRock” (2014-2017).
In the 2020 Netflix animated series “StarBeam’ she voiced the character Murp. We can see her rent voice works in series such as “Vampirina” (2020), “My Little Pony: Stop Motion Shorts” (2020-2021), and “Sonic Prime” (2022).
Besides acting, she is the lead singer of the indie, alternative rock, and synthpop band “Hey Ocean!” alongside guitarist David Beckingham and bassist David Vertesi. With the band, she provided her vocals to the release of their first album Stop Looking Like Music in 2006. It consisted of 11 tracks such as Beg Your Pardon, Thank You Very Much, Wise, and Eskimo Kisses.
