Early Life
Stacy Ann Ferguson best known as Fergie was born on the 27th of March 1975, in Hacienda Heights, California, the United States of America. As of 2024, she is 48 years old and holds American nationality.

Fergie is the daughter of Jon Patrick Ferguson (father) and Theresa Ann (mother). Professionally, her father and mother, both are school teachers. Sadly, her father died at the age of 74 on the 27th of August 2021. She grew up with her sister whose name is Dana Ferguson.

Early Career
In her early years, She started doing voiceover work. She gave her voice for Sally in two made-for-television “Peanuts” cartoons, “It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown” (1984) and “Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown” (1985), as well as on four episodes of “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show.”
From 1984 to 1989, she appeared on the television show named “Kids Incorporated.” In addition, she was a member of the female trio “Wild Orchid,” which she fronted with Stefanie Ridel and fellow Kids Incorporated star Renee Sandstrom.
The team signed a music publishing deal with Sony Publishing before signing a record contract with RCA Records in 1994. The trio released “Wild Orchid” released their self-titled debut album in March 1997, which debuted at #153 on the Billboard 200.
In September 1998, they released their second album “Oxygen.” From 16th June to 28th August of the year 1999, the trio went for Cher’s Do You Believe? tour alongside Cyndi Lauper. The trio also completed a third album which their record label declined to release.
However, she left the group in 2001, and in 2006, she told “Entertainment Weekly” that both frustrations with the band’s image and personal drug problems led her to leave Wild Orchid.
Black Eyed Peas
Later, she was invited by the rapper and singer, will.i.am to try out for a song called “Shut Up” when the Black Eyed Peas were recording their third album, “Elephunk” (2003). Again, she bonded with the trio and she went on to record five additional songs on the album.
“The Elephunk” album, ‘Where is the Love?’ became the Black Eyed Pea’s first major hit: it reached the eighth position on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in several other countries.
“Monkey Business” titled their album was released on 7th June 2005. It became certified triple platinum by the RIAA. And, the album’s singles are “Pump It,” ” Don’t Phunk with My Heart,” “Don’t Lie,” and “My Humps.” They toured on the “European Tour” in December 2005.
Again, the Black Eyed Peas toured for the Honda Civic Tour in March 2016. Later, Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas left A&M Records, they remained with Interscope Records. Moreover, their fifth studio album, The E.N.D (“The Energy Never Dies”) was released on 9th June 2009 and consists of the lead single “Boom Boom Pow.”
On the 30th of November 2010, they released their sixth studio album, The Beginning.. i.am confirmed in an interview with the Daily Star on the 18th of February 2018 that Fergie departed from the band.
Solo Career and Other Works
She released her debut solo album “The Dutchess” in September 2006 and consists of the lead single “London Bridge”, which was followed by “Fergalicious,” “Glamorous,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Clumpsy.”
In 2006, she appeared as a lounge singer in the “Poseidon” remake. Later, she appeared in a supporting role in the 2007 “Grindhouse” and the 2009 musical film “Nine.” She hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on ABC on 31st December 2006.
