His recent movie appearances are Curtain Call (2016), Steel Rain (2017), The Swordsman (2020), and My Son (2022). Aside from acting, he was one of the screenwriters for the Moon Seung-wook film Romance (2006). and gave his voice in the 2011 short film Painkiller.

In 2022, his recent television works are ‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’ portraying Kim Sang-man, ‘Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist’ as Yoo Hu-myeong (Cameo, Ep. 1), ‘Under the Queen’s Umbrella’ as Yoon Soo-kwang, and ‘Revenge of Others’ as Gi Wang-do.

Talking about his personal life, Jang Hyun-Sung is a married man. He married his wife Hee-Jung Yang. With the marriage, the couple has two sons named Jang Junu and Jang Junseo.
