She was charged with being implicated in the Republic TV TRP scam on the 18th of January 2021. Likewise, she allegedly used a derogatory term for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a live political debate program on 29th Septem 2021.
Soon after, she realized her false statement on the live broadcast, and she apologized for her disrespectful behavior on her Twitter page. Likewise, four Bollywood industry associations and thirty-four top Bollywood production houses filed a civil lawsuit against Navika, Arnab Goswami, and Pradip Bhandari for their unethical reporting on the 13th of October 2020.
