Landon Collins began playing professional club football in 2015. Various mock drafts projected him as a high first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft before his junior season.
The New York Giants selected him 33rd overall in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The New York Giants signed him to a four-year, $6.12 million contract on June 19, 2015, with $4.02 million guaranteed and a $2.71 million signing bonus.
He was the only player in LSWA history to be named to the 5A All-State team on both sides of the ball. Collins was named to the 2016 Pro Bowl on December 20, 2016. Collins was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year on January 14, 2017.
On the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018, he was ranked 92nd by his peers. During his offseason in 2018, he stated that he needed surgery on his right forearm. He was a trade rumor during the trade season, but he was not moved at the end. During their 13th week, they defeated the Chicago Bears.
