Regarding her career life, Katie was allowed to take unpaid leave from her Met Office work as part of her probationary period of employment to take part in series three of the reality television show The Apprentice in late 2006 where the contestants competed to get a position with Alan Sugar, a businessman.
During the show, she became known for her criticism of fellow contestants, back-stabbing attacks, controversial comments about maternity leave, and obese people on different topics.
Then she quit the show before the final, giving the reason for childcare issues. After that, she lost her Met Office job in June 2007. Once she found out that she called her daughter ‘India,‘ she said the name was not linked to the location suggestion that the viewer’s poll refuted. In 2 articles on ‘Mail Online,’ Hopkins stated that the family members were extremists and the step was the right one from the officials’ side. The family won £ 150,000 in damages from the ‘Daily Mail‘ in December 2016. Hopkins said an instructor, Jackie Teale, took her class to demonstrate against Trump.
