He graduated from there in 1984 with a degree in culinary arts. Then he worked at the Brighton Grill. There he worked as the executive chef. Later he also joined as a chef at Bud and Jams under Jonathan Waxman who played a vital role in his career. He also worked as executive chef at Miracle Grill from 1988 to 1990. The journey continued with Messa Grill from 1991 till 1993. In 1993 he opened his own Bolo Bar and Restaurant.
Following his journey, he started and continued adding more restaurants to his chain. These include Second Messa Grill in 2004, Bar American in 2005, and Mesa Grill in the Bahamas in 2007. It also includes Bobby’s Burger Place which had its branched in many different cities. The largest one is in Maryland.
He has also appeared in different shows and special food networks like Boy Meets Grill, BBQ with Bobby Flay, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Bobby’s Dinner Battle, etc. He has also written books like Bobby’s Bold American Food, Bobby’s Boy Meets Grill, Bobby’s Burgers, Fries, and Shakes, etc.
