August Chan Zuckerberg is famous as the celebrity daughter of Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan. Her father is a famous internet entrepreneur, media magnate, and philanthropist. As such, he co-founded the popular social media website Facebook and its parent company Meta Platforms which was formerly called Facebook, Inc. Moreover, her father is also the chairman, and chief executive officer, as well as the controlling shareholder of Meta Platforms.
On the other hand, her mother Priscilla Chan is also a philanthropist. Besides this, her mother previously worked as a pediatrician. Both of her parents together established the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in December 2015. While doing so, her parents pledged to transfer 99% of their Facebook shares which were valued at $45 billion at the time.
Furthermore, her father attended Harvard University and this was where he launched Facebook in February 2004. His then roommates Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, and Chris Hughes worked together with Mark in launching this social media platform.
Similarly, Chan-Zuckerberg’s mother also attended Harvard University. Later on, her mother received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco.

Talking about her parents’ relationship details, as both her parents were Havard University students, they met each other at a frat party during her father’s sophomore year. Her parents – Mark and Priscilla – started to date each other in the year 2003.
Then in September 2010, her mother moved into her father’s rented house in Palo Alto, California. By this time, her mother was already a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco.
Finally, on 19 May 2012, her parents tied the knot on the grounds of her father’s mansion. It was an event that also celebrated her mother’s graduation from medical school.
