Early Life and Education

Edith González was born on 10 December 1964. Her full name was Edith González Fuentes.

She is originally from Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Edith participated in school plays since her childhood and studied acting in New York, London, and Paris.

Also, she was a part of Sorbonne University. There, she studied English art history, and jazz in Great Britain.

Illness and Death

In the year 2016, this actress was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. However, she underwent surgery to have her ovaries, uterus, and lymph nodes removed.

On 13 June 2019, at the age of 54, this actress died of the disease. Edith was declared medically brain dead and was later taken off life support by her family at noon.

Relationship Status

This actress had a daughter, Constanza. However, she did not disclose the father’s name and decided to raise Constanza alone.

However, in the year 2008, Mexican politician Santiago Creel recognized that he was Constanza’s father. Later, in 2010, she married Lorenzo Lazo Margáin.
