In 1970, Bob Baffert started his career as a racer on legalized tracks at the age of 17. After his marriage, he started as a trainer at Quarter Horses a farm in Prescott, Arizona.
After that, he had established himself as a trainer by the age of twenty. In the 1980s, he shifted to southern California and started training Thoroughbred horses at the Los Alamitos Race Course.
Additionally, he purchased Thirty Slews, his first Thoroughbred horse, in 1988. Moreover, in 1992, Thirty Slews won his first Breeder’s Cup race.
