In 1970, Bob Baffert started his career as a racer on legalized tracks at the age of 17. After his marriage, he started as a trainer at Quarter Horses a farm in Prescott, Arizona.
After that, he had established himself as a trainer by the age of twenty. In the 1980s, he shifted to southern California and started training Thoroughbred horses at the Los Alamitos Race Course.
