Mat followed the footsteps of his grandfather and his brothers, he was in the Army at the age of 17. He turned 18 during his training and thus, joined the 2nd Battalion.
He joined his troop in Mosul after 15 days after his recruitment. Mat was deployed 5 times to Iraq and Afghanistan during his servicing time with the 2nd Ranger Batallion, and 75th Ranger Regiment.
After serving in the Navy, he became a contractor for the CIA for about five years, and again he was deployed overseas. Mat is the Vice President of BRCC.
It was the month of February when Mat tried his luck in comedy. A former soldier created a YouTube channel named, MBest11x.
His YouTube videos consist of satirical videos. His YouTube channel consists of videos like “If Veterans Were In Horror Movies 2”, “ISIS BUTTON”, and “EPIC BATTLE: THE LAST CUP OF COFFEE (FT CORRIDOR DIGITAL)”.
He has garnered 1.19M subscribers as of now and has more than 1M views in each video of him.

Mat Best also has a clothing line, Article 15 Clothing along with his other veteran fellows, JT, Cody, Rocco, and Brad.
His merchandise is doing quite well across the United States. Besides this, he also has a business liquor with the brand name Leadslinger’s Whiskey.
A business venture of Mat doesn’t stop here. He is serving as the Chief Branding Officer of the Black Rifle Coffee Company, also he is a host of the Drinkin’ Bros Podcast.
