Adam Page is a well-known professional wrestler in the United States. For more than a decade, Adam Page has competed in professional events. Page is now signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and is the reigning AEW World Champion. Hangman also wrestled in professional wrestling in Japan.

Early Life

Stephen Blake Woltz, better known as Hangman Page, was born on July 27, 1991, in Halifax, Virginia. He rose to recognition as a result of his great career, but nothing is known about his early life and parents. Page attended Virginis Tech University after graduating from Halifax County High School.

Professional Life

Adam Page did not come from a family of athletes, and he did not wrestle from a young age. After making his professional debut in an indie circuit in his hometown in 2008, Hangman made his ROH debut on January 14, 2011, at ROH Champions vs. All-Stars. In the same year, he and Jason Blade won their first professional wrestling title, the CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship.

Stephen won the CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship the next year. He remained in the league until the end of his career, winning multiple championships for regional promotions across the country. Page was defeated by Matt Hardy in the Final Battle 2013 while in the Ring of Honor. Woltz’s career on the circuit was not without its ups and downs.

Hangman was a member of New Japan Pro-Wrestling from 2016 to 2019. Page was also a full-time high school teacher for five years, teaching journalism and graphic design while wrestling. After moving to Japan for the events, he stopped teaching. On the first night of All-Star Weekend in April 2018, Hangman joined Pro Wrestling Guerilla. He moved to All Elite Wrestling the next year and signed a contract with the organization.

Adam Page won the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Kenny Omega in early 2020. In September, the couple lost their title and split up. The wrestler began a storyline with AEW World Champion in early 2021. Hangman won the AEW World Championship title in November 2021 at Full Gear after a series of ups and downs.
