Erik Kuselias

Erik Kuselias is an American Television and radio host currently working on CBD Sports HD. Before this, he used to host Sports Talk 1040 Orlando and Pro Football Talk on the NBC Sports Network

Early Life and Childhood

Erik has not been much verbal about his family life. The media is still unaware of his date of birth and his parents. However, he comes from a Syriac family and was raised in Hamden, Connecticut. During his high school days, Erik was a state-level baseball player. Back then he played against and with future Major League Baseball (MLB) stars such as Jeff Bagwell, Mo Vaughn, and Brad Ausmus.

After completing high school education, Erik enrolled at Brown University where he got his undergraduate degree. Later he attended the University of Michigan Law School. However, his education qualification doesn’t end here. In 1998 he enrolled at Columbia University for a Ph.D. program.

Career and Professional Life

Before stepping foot on his television career, Erik initially worked in a law firm Goldblatt, Kuselias & Rashiba, P.C., of which he became a managing partner. Here he handled many arbitration cases. Consequently, he became a member of Mensa International, a society for people with high IQs.

Erik’s Television career started in early 2000 with the ESPN show “The Sports Brothers”. He had started the program together with his brother Chris, who eventually left the show in 2005. The show was then renamed “SportsBash”. For the following two years, Erik was committed to his show. But, new opportunities knocked on doors and he left the show to pursue other projects.

In 2007, Erik was assigned to a new show NASCAR Now. However, for the next season NASCAR 2008, Nicole Manske replaced him. That year he worked as a fill-in anchor for the show “The Herd”. While working in “The Herd“, he announced the launch of his show on ESPN Radio called ” The Erik Kuselias Show“.

Alongside, he appeared in “Mike and Mike in the Morning” as a substitute for one of the regular hosts, Mike Greenberg or Mike Golic. He has also hosted another show with ESPN called “Fantasy Football Now“. The show is a web-based show and won an Emmy Award.

Afterward, he moved to host the “Morning Drive” on the Golf Channel. Meanwhile, he also appeared on CNBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. However, his journey with the NBC network ended in May 2012.

Currently, Erik is back on the radio with “Sports Radio”, and “News Talk Radio Show”. Both shows can be heard in Tampa, Orlando, and the Melbourne-Cocoa Beach area through various radio stations. Presently, he is working on Sports Talk 1040 Orlando.

The very talented host has won an Emmy award for his Web-based show known as Fantasy Football Now. Since his debut as host, Erik has worked for several Television shows and radio stations.

Erik Kuselias was married to former Golfer and current Sports journalist Holly Sonders in 2012. Previously the duo got engaged and moved to NBC Sports. She is also a famous sportscaster who has worked with ESPN and Golf Channel and she has appeared in many TV shows.  They have a son named Troy.

In August 2017, they separated because of flirty behavior of Erik. Earlier, she filed a divorce against Kuselias in 2016. Nevertheless, Holly is certain about not getting back into the relationship. Apart from this, Erik even had a failed marriage before Holly. However, he chooses not to reveal any details.

However, the two called it off in 2017 when Holly caught him cheating on her with Stephania Bell. Currently, he is dating Stephania. She is also a fellow journalist.

Erik Kuselias has a bad reputation among ESPN employees. Once while on air, he verbally assaulted a female employee to which she notified ESPN Human Resources. Consequently, he was suspended from ESPN. His misbehaves does not end here. He had even received warnings before the incident. Moreover, he earned the label of the biggest douchebag on ESPN.
