Early Life

MGK was born on April 22, 1990, and he is currently 33 years old. His full name is Colson Baker but is popular as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK). Further, He hails from Houston, Texas, but is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Talking about his family, He lost his father fairly recently in early July 2020. He had missionary parents.

Then in the year 2005, his father returned to take them both to Kuwait. This was before they were forced back stateside to Cleveland. There, he attended Shaker Heights High School.

Professionally, MGK, a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly, is a famous singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor. The prominent rapper released a total of 4 studio albums throughout his career. He released his first studio album Lace Up in the year 2012. The rapper then made his film debut in the year 2014. It was a romantic drama named Beyond the Lights. As an actor, He also appeared in several films. He also had a recurring role on Roadies. He appeared on the Showtime series in the year 2016.

Furthermore, He embarked on a musical career as a teenager. He released his mixtape for the first time in the year 2006. The rapper then released four more mixtapes. He followed it with Bad Things. For this, He collaborated with the singer Camila Cabello. It then peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also became his highest-charting single.

Moreover, His fourth studio album is Hotel Diablo and he released it on July 5, 2019. This album also includes three singles namely Hollywood Whore, El Diablo, and I Think I’m Okay. This also marked his departure from rap in favor of pop-punk.

The rapper is open about his cannabis use. He has also claimed in many interviews that he smokes daily. He further describes it as a “source of happiness and a way people can feel a little more love in their own right”. For a period before the release of Lace-Up, the young rapper was addicted to heroin for some time. Before 2020, he was also a heavy cocaine and alcohol user. Then in November 2020, the rapper revealed that he is seeking treatment after his addiction to Adderall.

Relationship Status

He is a father and has a daughter named Casie Colson Baker. Little Baker was born in July 2009 and she is 11 years old while writing this article. He welcomed his daughter with Emma Cannon.
